STSM Testimonial: Implementing the MultiplEYE experiment at the University of Latvia

In October 2025, I visited the University of Latvia for a Short-Term Scientific Mission within the MultiplEYE Cost action. The main goal of the mission was to assist Dr. Ceple and her group with the implementation of the experiment.
During my stay, I mainly worked on setting up and implementing the MultiplEYE experiment, including both the eye-tracking part and the psychometric tests. This also involved solving some technical issues that came up during the setup process. I also trained four master students of Dr. Ceple’s group on how to use the eye tracker and how to conduct the experiment itself.
First of all, I would like to thank COST Action and MultiplEYE for making this visit possible! I also want to thank Prof. Maja Stegenwallner-Schütz for her help with the MultiplEYE setup in our lab in Saarbrücken, during which I gained valuable experience that was very useful for my work in Riga. Furthermore, I want to especially thank Dr. Ilze Ceple and her master students Angelika, Anne, Elizabeth, and Marta for warmly welcoming me to Riga and for making my stay very pleasant.
Overall, this STSM was a very valuable experience for me personally and for my academic development.
